So I got some chest x-rays yesterday because I was coughing up blood. I have had a cold for the last 5 days so it was probably related to coughing really hard and rupturing a blood vessel. Anyways, I called my doctor to check on the results of the x-rays and they said that they would have to have him call me back... is this normal? lol I don't want to hear what he has to say
I'm only 19 years old (do turn 20 soon but ...), I don't see what could be wrong with me? pneumonia at worst ? I have smoked a pack a day for 3 or so years, and smoked somewhat for 2-3 years before that
Damn dude smoking pufff at the age of <19 Anyway lets hope that you dont have any serious problem, everyones wishes are with you

Yeah, that's normal. Doctors are good at making people wait. If this scares you, maybe like rubeina said, you should think about quitting smoking.
Ya I'm really not enjoying the wait. I doubt it's anything, just the fact that I have to wait is making me nervous
Waiting sucks because you start thinking about the worst possible scenarios. Sometimes it's good to get scared!
Better to stop smoking instantly, and work on something seriously which make you forget about the doc's appointment The more you will think about it the more tensions you will be getting.
it's not a tumor that's good! but still like every other person has mentioned...you should seriously quit smoking
Good to hear, man! I have an appointment to get my racquetball injury checked out tomorrow morning. Hopefully the doc will have some good news for me too.
Stop smoking and also try to reduce coffee (if you have it a lot). I had a similar problem three years ago and had to quit drinking lot of coffee and tea.
It's funny though, a long time friend of mine who never had a cigarette in his life also coughed up blood
