Directories
Article
Blog
Press Release
Social Bookmarking
Two Way and Three Way link exchange
Blog Commenting

You can also increase your back links by doing the classified submission.Classified submission is also the one of the best way to increase the back links.

Fresh relevant Content and bookmarking the articles can get more backlinks....

 

Directories still work but takes a lot of time to get indexed. Article and blogging works fine to me.. I do link wheel of about 15 blogs and it helps my rankings to go up.

It is best to do off page SEO. You can so social bookmarking, directory listings, forum posting, blog commenting, article submission. But whatever you post that must be unique and original.

 

concerning link exchange. I've heard that Google doesn't "like" mutual exchange of links

 

What a load of BS here. It's pathetic to read all those posts with false information by people who have no clue but post as SEO experts...Sad...

 

article submission is not effective in SEO, i think profile linking, Blog, blog commenting and social bookmarking are more effective now
