Yeah a lot of me-too sites are popping up. I get e-mailed by them coz they see my link on linkexperiment and think I'm gonna pay for their pointless site (at least this guy wants to go to the Olympics or something.) :)

Why do they all have to be shooting for a million dollars? This guy hasn't even made $10k yet. I would be happy with $10k. Maybe they should make the goal a little more reasonable. Their ideas are not as original as milliondollarhomepage was so they are not going to make a million.

Don't you have to make $10K before you can make $1M?

Regardless of naysayers like yourself, from an advertiser's perspective LE is a great deal.

I'm not trying to be a naysayer. I have a link there myself. You do have to make $10k first, but I'm starting to see the buzz start to die down. If he does something to keep up the interest, then it could take off. I hope he gets there, because that means more traffic for me.

Yeah, I have noticed that the buzz has died down as well. I sure admire Brandon, the webmaster for his determination and high goals. He obviously has put a lot of time and energy into his site, especially marketing it. I am really hoping that he does somethng fo the site to take off, because that means more traffic for my site Internet Security 101 on Link Experiment.

I don't agree with Brandon from Link Experiment's new contest; giving $100 to whoever can make the best thread on Link Experiment in their favourite forum. I was tempted to join, but it sounds like to me a good way to tick people off and possibly even be accused of being a spammer. Sounds like a contest of desperation to me.

Well, it might be worth a shot..My directory is growing and could really use a boost. I don't believe in Alexa a whole lot and there are ways to inflate or rather deflate the number...

Oh no - not the "Alexa can be fooled" again. Alexa cannot be fooled at the level that LE is at now.

I think these sites are just building on ideas of earlier ones.

I bought an ad some 3 or 4 months ago at www.onebillionviews.com, I still get some 20 hits a day and I am nowhere near the top.

obv has been around since 2005, aussie guy after some beer.

Yeah, he does these little promotions like before it was the most people to refer someone to LE and now the one about creating the best thread. Has anyone tried the affiliate program and gotten some referrals? I'm surprised I don't have any referrals even though I advertised a page on my site with the link and had a lot of people signing up for all the other traffic links.

I haven't tried the affiliate program, but I did sign up for the contest and wrote a couple of posts on Link Experiment on my blog http://tryingtomakemoneyonline.blogspot.com. Not a single sign up. Apparently, there were no sign ups from that contest though and the prize was 200 bucks. I am almost tempted to start a post on another forum on Link Experiment and try to cash in on his latest contest. I am currently on Medical Leave from work and absolutely broke. Anyways, must go. Have to go to the doc and run some errands. Very cold here - 21 brrrr.

Perhaps the person that started this thread should sign up ;).
You should add your blog to your digitalpoint profile so it appears by your username on your posts and put the referral link in your blog post.

Hey that's a great one. I'm sure he will reach that target since I don't see a target date on it :p

As for LE, I can report that I'm getting good traffic but only as much as my referrals from forums. The only thing is that with forums, I have to keep posting and showing my presence. With LE, it's buy and forget so that works for me. That's $40.01 well spent, I reckon. :)

Time to think about supporting this fellow drunken aussie guy...

It looks like his traffic has already peaked. I'd rather get in on something that is on it's way up. Anyone know of any other sites where the traffic and publicity are going up?

The overall trend seems to be increasing for the alexa traffic rank. There was a huge spike but other than that it's gone up pretty well.
