Checking links and Search Engine Posiiton

    Can anyone tell me which is more accurate for actual link number and SERPs, as I have several sites targeting the USA, but I am based in the UK.

    I have used hidemyass and then used google.com with keyword site is 3-8 position, but if I take the google.com search string on hidemyass and paste that into browser I see websites at 1-5 position - which is most accurate??

    Thanks, but I do not like the idea of putting a script on my server when it could be hacked.

    Any other options??

    That's pretty silly when no one would even know you have the script installed on your server.

    Hi Geester, both the metrics are correct but only a slight change based on data center location. Google have different data centers from which they generate the result, maybe hidemyass checked the real-time data generated from the datacenter located outside of UK and you checked the real time data generated from the datacenter which is located at UK. But the results varies by little margin, two or three position. Nothing to worry.
