Does the new timeline helps in advertising ?

    it does but you might want to consider making a seperate profile that revolves around your product/site entirely

    I think timeline is more on the GUI side. But I agree that better you make a separate profile for your product.

    It's not impossible to promote your site using the Timeline. It's just like a banner if you use it that way.

    Mine is I'm creating a new account for the product I am endorsing.
