You can also do that by multi quoting all persons you wish to answer by using the button beside the Reply with Quote on each. Some Mods gives infractions on this.

You mean copy-pasting each quote separately into a reply form? Sounds like too much work to me

Judaism and Christianity don't forbid polygamy. In fact King Solomon or King David (don't remember which one it was), has hundreds of wives and concubines.

I don't wish to quibble over technicalities but.......under ancient Jewish law you could have as many concubines as you could afford, but only 'ONE' wife. The good king was married to only one wife.Later the law was amended and no concubines were permitted.

OMG! don't tell me that my info on ancient Jewish marriage laws is flawed? But seriously, the difference here is the timeline.Jewish laws evolved and were fluid. So in the time of David versus the time of Jesus, the laws would not have been all the same pertaining to the subject of marriage.

You cannot go on and make up things that you think Jesus thought, Christianity has nothing against polygamy.

When 30-60% cheat that means they are looking for more than one partner at a time? So why not allow that. Make it legal. Less cheating, less divorces. Less children suffering divorce trauma. Religon don't put a ban on it why govt. do? Also I like to know the reason govt. give to ban polygamy.

I cannot of course claim to be a spokesperson for the governments and societies that ban polygamy. But I presume these laws were enacted to protect children.A man with 5 wives would likely have around 10-15 children. There would of course be huge pressures on a family like this, the least of which would be the care and upkeep of the children.
And in a society like that the rich man would get all the women and leave the poor man as a bachelor for life. There would be an inequality there.

So with intervention of the government, the poor man has an equal chance with a rich man to make it with a woman ? Right? Anyway, according to my information a lot of bachelors have more and better sex than many if not most married men.

Depends on what kind of government you've got. We almost immediately assume that we're dealing with a civilized government in these discussions. But there are countries that are not as much civilized as those we usually imagine, the countries inhabited by people whom Alvin Toffler calls people of the past..
