Is blogging worth my time?

I always hear it can be fun, but there are so many blogs. I don't think I could get many visitors.

 

it really all depends on what kind of content you write, if it's quality content, interesting, and if can you drive traffic to your blog somehow. Traffic doesn't come by itself. Many of us bloggers get lots of traffic and make a good income monthly from monetizing our blogs somehow.

 

Yeah it is fun, only when making money . But yeah you'd have to optimize your blog to get it recognized on search engines. You also have to do some other work. I think you might have to look into SEO.

 

Quality content and powerful back links definitely increase your visitors.

 

no it is not wastage of time, its increases visitors and traffic too.

 

I think blogging is a way to express yourself. You might not making a lot of money from it, however you can have your own world through blogging.

I'd say yes, especially if you are someone who likes to create and manage online content.

Making money is obviously an attractive incentive, but you also get a sense of self-improvement and self-satisfaction from blogging as well. It's quite gratifying to know what you've written can translate to lots of readership and traffic. I almost think of blogging as a profitable hobby, though I personally blog just because it's fun!

 

Blogging or becoming a blogger is very promising job..I quitted from my former job and then starting internet business by creating blogs..Now my income is 4 times bigger than my salary..It's not easy to get visitor..But if you choose the right niche and you seriously develop your blogs(updating,build backlinks etc) I'm sure you'll succeed..Good luck..

 

It's only a waste of time if you believe it is. If you start blogging with a positive mindset, you will succeed. It is indeed worth it to blog. You simply need to learn internet marketing in order to promote your blog and get traffic to it. The most important thing is that you believe and DON'T GIVE UP! Good luck!

Nope. You don't start a blog because you want a blog. A blog is a tool to promote a business. If your business is information, then that's fine too.
But the blog itself needs to have a purpose besides "I want to make some money".

It's like renting an office first, because you want to have a business but have no idea what kind of business. Once you figure it out, you will find that you rented the wrong kind of office space.

The blog is not the business. It's a tool to promote a business.

 

Blogging is sharing ideas to answer a particular problem. It allows exchanges of ideas and also to promote your ads on each forum.

 

You must like this line of work if you want to do it right......just like anything else that you will do in your life, you must really like it.

 

As long as you realize that it's work, and not necessarily 'fun' - you'll do good. Get the SEO right ... if you're using Wordpress, there's some excellent plugins (try 'Clickbump' or 'SEOpressor') that will force you to write your posts in SEO friendly ways.

Check your keywords with Google's external keyword tool first - the same post that targets just a slightly different keyphrase can mean hundreds or thousands of visitors difference in traffic.

 

it is not waste of time, it is a fun thing and if you do it right it can make you money as well. But you should not blog because of the money, you should blog for passion and the money will come rolling in.

Blogging is fun when you write about things you love, that way you can generate good content easily. You can write reviwes and complain about things you don't like. Content is everything for traffic !.

Blog for money, and the money will come. There is a difference.

 

Basically you create a blog because you want to talk about something, share your views on something, Blogs have been created with the purpose of talking about ourselves, at the beginning blogging was about me, myself and I, then people found a way to make money out of it.

I know blogs who started small just about a subject and they are now in top 100 in the world, but I really don't think that the guys behind though about making money.

Does it worth your time? you are the only one to judge about it, do you blog for cash only, then no, it's not worth your time
