This thread reminds me of my B School days. Essentially, profs would like you to actively participate in class discussions and hence they cam up with this beautiful concept - CP, that is, Class Participation. About 20% of our entire credits/marks were given based on CP. So we had desperate students participating in class discussions without any substance/content and class discussions were almost relegated to being a farce. It seems same thing is being repeated here. Some one needs a given number of posts to be able to post in some particular sub forum and here we have people doing forced discussions just to add up the post count. Funny.
