dkp - it's people all remote uploading from the same host it causes a bottleneck, you must be remoting from a host which has amazing bandwidth or isn't used by many others...

 

me only remote upload from filesonic and the file sizes is not that big, may be that might be the reason why i do not see any problem with remote uploading.

 

The site is rather new. I would say 2 weeks to get indexed is an optimistic point of view. Actually, the main source of traffic is the affiliate program when partners share file links themselves.

Yes filepost remote upload system is one of the best. The errors which sometime occur is due to server blocking by other filehosts not the problem of filepost.

I am also looking to start a file hosting website, but I am not sure what sort of hosting I should look at. I think it will require a large amount of webspace, do anyone here have idea of hosting these sites cheaply with unlimited webspace?

 

Do you have a system in which while uploading we can pause it and we can resume the uploading. I need this kind of system because of the large files and due to my slow connection & it also gets disconnected unexpectedly. So similar to torrents I need this for uploading too.

I'm getting one or two referrals from Google/Yahoo and rapidsearch now so going back to the post about indexing of FP in Google I don't think that's as important as getting your site indexed and your files indexed by File search sites which is slowly happening with the latter now.

No, we do not have such system. However you could probably use some special upload services. Actually, you also could resolve the situation with the connection and its quality - otherwise I am afraid upload via any service can be painful.

Please do not forget we changed prices a bit in the end of 2011. And also for some countries prices are displayed in EUR, for some others - in USD (fixed prices). That is why the percentage of different prices may vary a bit.

 

This is not true....and you know it.
Filepost have the poorest servers in this industry.The support says,that they are working on the slow speed problem,but they didnt do anything since 2 months.They are slow like their servers.
Servers with 15-100kb/sec connection speed are not enough to make a filesharing site.
Filepost is a total joke....

The most importatnt part is "send me your email address" and will give you higher speed.

P.S.
Right now,the ftp upload speed is 50kb/sec from my server,which have 1gb/sec connection port and located in NL.
I wonder in what country your servers are,maybe this is the reason of low speed.In some countries the higher internet connection is 50-100mb/sec ,which is not enough for a filesharing site.

 

I think you might of shot yourself in the foot because of your earlier trolling in this thread because you are the only one complaining.

Maybe next time you want to work with a filehost you should stop acting like a 5 year old and consider being more diplomatic

I just talk about the real situation.Filepost have the worst quality among all filehosts.Just spend a little time for testing the upload and download speeds....

 

Being rude to others at the forum is not the best way to earn a good reputation for yourself. You continue blackening our service however we even do not know anything about you...

It is sure your right to choose any hosting you like, however at least be polite to our users here please.
