    Hi guys,

I am going through a very critical phase right now with my sites. My sites are ranking very well in Google. But some of the people are copying content from my sites which is making me not feel a good sign from Google prospective. panda updates are getting quite strict nowadays for content. What can i do to avoid my content to be copied? May i inform to Google for this?

    hi
you can use RSS so that content can be copyrighted by you, or one can use scripts to make direct copy from the site .

Simply got to copyscape which is very popular for searching the duplicate content and use its service to defends the content. Also as soon as you post new content, ping the page so crawlers can crawl your page earlier and thus your content will be known as the genuine for search engine.

If the content get indexed from your site first, it will not be a problem. But take an action to protect your content from copycats.

    You can:
    1) report it to google using the google webmasters tools if you find duplicate copy
    2) make sure that you have rss and strong backlinks and that will get your site having indexed first

This is very common practice in Internet marketing.

Here are a few tips for avoiding content stealing,
    - Disable right click on your website
    - Claim copyright for your content
    - Use authorship markups
    - Use canonical tags

What you should do if your content got copied?
    - File spam report against the scraper
    - File DMCA report
