How important Alexa ranking for website?

Hey frienzz i want to know that how important is Alexa ranking and what roll it plays in traffic and visibility of my website?

 

Its not really that important it is more just data about how many ppl visit your site who have the alexa toolbar installed.

 

If it is not important why so many people bother to show its ranking on website? We all know alexa data only represent a "sample" of whole population. Does Google look at it? If so, will it effect SERP?

 

It's not important at all, some people show it for several reasons - just for stats purposes, maybe they believe with it installed on their site - Alexa will measure their traffic more effectively. Some people just like widgetized things.

No Google doesn't look at it, Google doesn't need to rely upon second tier or outsourced metrics to measure your sites importance or search results.

The only thing that Alexa may do is provide a few links and mentions back to your site.

 

Simply put Alexa rank is important to any website because it provides recognition, increase the potential of monetization and provides important inforamtion that will help web developers improve the quality of their site by improving the sites visitors experience.

 

most of people think alexa ranking is more important but today only traffic is more important because if you have traffic your alexa rank increase automatically.

Alexa just tells that how many visitors are visiting your site who have install Alexa tool.It increases the traffic but if you have alexa tool. it gives only minimum ranking.

I don't really mind what is my website's alexa rank. I think it is not important because I know every SEO Specialists' goal is to be on TOP on SERPs.

 

I never bother about alex rank cause it always runs in thousands and its so difficult to do well there.

Alexa ranking is a number which is assigned by Alexa and depends on your website's traffic and popularity. Its just a show off, I am sure that there is no benefit of it in ranking and traffic. Alexa rank can be influenced by a number of ways so you really don't need to bother about it. Just work for ranking and traffic leave everything on their own.

 

Alexa Ranking is just a tool to rank the websites after some criteria, but under no circumstances affects your traffic or search engine visibility. Many webmasters are using it when doing SEO for their websites but I don't find it to much relevant. During the last few years I've seen many poor quality websites/forums ranking in the first 100k on alexa but if you take a closer look at the content, design, keyword ranking of those websites you will see that it doesn't really matter. I remember that a friend of mine used some SEO tools to publish articles on auto approved websites and get links, (from crap websites) and the Alexa rank increased up to first 50k...has no relevance to Google at all....

It's very important if you wanna sell blogpost on sponsoredreviews, blogsvertise, buyblogreviews and etc
