Ok, never tried much with this program. Was wanting to know if you get paid for visitors clicking through but not actually buying anything? I know it's mainly for people to buy things and you get a commission, but can you get paid for visitors just clicking your ad? Thanks.
No, you don't get paid when visitors merely click on Amazon Ads. They must click and buy something within 24 hours.
Unfortunately they have to get "impressed" which I think just means they have to buy something or add something to their cart. Google does it by clicks.
when you are just beginning with your website, you can't have an impressive amount of visitors coming. It's practically impossible. and that's what you need for pay per click. the alternative is Affiliate Marketing that works always good and with any number of visitors.
No money for impressions, clicks or traffic. You can only earn once you can convert the visits into sales.
As people here already mentioned, Amazon works on CPA model, therefore,y ou would get paid only when transaction made. However, As far as I understood, eBay working on a new business model that would enable affiliates to earn money by only referring quality traffic.
To get a commission from Amazon, a customer needs to add a product to cart in the first session after he was refered to their site. If he close the browser window the session is closed. Then, he must complete the purchase and receive the product. At that point you will get the comission. If the customer sees a product, leave the website and then come again to purchase something, you won't get paid.
Hi I'm new to Amazon affiliates but I think it will work with my small website. Really Im just wanting to try something new as I use Adsense. Can I have Adsense on the same page as a post that will have a Amazon affiliate link? As my Adsense is normally just set to default in the sidebar and under posts. I didn't mind if I have to remove this. Next is there are lots of cheaper items in the Amazon warehouse section. I want to get affiliate links for this. But when I enter the Asin it doesn't show up unless there is a new version for sale too (warehouse are all used but I am aiming for the like new products). I know other big websites find a way but is that by using another affiliate website and entering the links on there instead of on Amazon's affiliate website, to produce a unique link? Thanks for taking the time to read.
I'm no expert, but I do know that you can get paid even if they don't purchase the exact item you're promoting..I've gotten small commissions when people bought toilet paper even though they initially clicked my link for camera gear. So that part is cool and it contributes a small amount to my earnings.
