Selling Auto Updating Funny Picture Site -

I started this funny picture site in October last year and it has made around $150 in just over 2 and a bit months its been running.

The site gets around 35,000 UV's a month with around 3 - 5 times that in pageviews (~120,000 - 180,000).

It runs on a custom made php script, which includes an auto update feature wich will grab and publish new images daily, hourly (whatever you set) and add them to your site.
It supports all image formats including animated Gifs - you can also publish videos to the site. Site has a backend admin panel for approving/editing images/videos, and for various advert settings etc.

This is a true auto update site. Unless you want to deny a picture from being shown you do not need to do anything at all. To deny a picture is one simple click.

Currently makes money via adsense, i have tried a handful of other monitization methods which all worked ok, but adsense seemed to give the best return - however, i didnt try the other methods for very long.

Traffic mainly seems to be organic or from social networks.

Looking for a quick sale - selling due to needing the money to fund another project.

How does it grab images and add them automatically? And where from please?

 

It grabs the images from any rss feed containing images. It'll grab and resize if the image is too big. It will also ignore images which are over a given size. E.g 5MB

Once grabbed itll either save them as published and you need do nothing more or it can save them as pending for your approval, you can select which youd prefer

 

It also allows for user upload, which will always save as pending
