We know that Google Panda oppose the paid links. Though many directories offering the paid submission still now. So is it still worth for paid submission? Share your thoughts and comments. Thanks.
The Panda update was not to do with paid links as Google was always against paid options. Panda was to do with poor quality and duplicated content issues
Paid directories do NOT count as paid links. And they have their use for keeping your authority levels up, but not too much of an impact on the ranking side. It helps balance a lot of other aspects out when you start building links in volume, though.
Look for directories which are manual accepting submissions and don't include dead links in directory. (I know there is some tool for checking dead links, but i can't remember it). Otherwise; paid directories are still fine in the eyes of Google, but look for quality not for quantity.
Not all paid links are bad... The links which are purchased or sell with an intent of manipulating ranking are bad. As far as paid directories are concerned, it depends on the policies. If directory is hosting your website for money regardless of its relevancy, it will be a poor quality submission. Whereas links from directories like Yahoo! and BOTw (where websites do get rejected) are considered as good link. So, the conclusion is, quality of directory matters.
But Google always against the paid options, if you want to rank well in google you have to concentrate more on manual submissions, that works great.
Hi, Avoid to use paid links because in case Google caught you, then you will be in trouble or your site may be blacklisted. Try to do manual submissions only as that will help you to increase the traffic of your site.
beware for paid links, you did not know the quality of backlinks you pay for. Some backlinks contain many exclude from Google, paid links is not also work as well as possible but also can make you site not have index in Google
I totally agree with this. Any directory is just to help us to drive traffic which in turn leads to improvising PR. There are some tips while choosing Paid directories: 1. PR value of the category you are planning to submit to. 2. The number of per category. The more links the page has, the less PR will flow to each link, so try to look for a less popular category. 3. Check out the number of sitewide links the directory has. Anyway, a good paid directory should not have a lot of sitewide links. 4. Get those sitewide links instead! However, it would be wise not to get a sitewide link on a largedirectory with too high a PR, because a sudden influx of high PR linkspointing to your site will certainly raise some red flags to Google. 5. Deeplinking! In fact, I think if you pay them enough, you can almost do anything on their site. 6. Ensure that the paid directory you are going to submit to has a"details" page. Even if the PR of that details page is low, it willstill push a little PR your way. As your site matures and Google feels that it can be "trusted"more, you can then increase the rate of new backlinks. Remember, justone sitewide link can result in thousands of links back to your site ina short period, so beware when asking for sitewides! Source: blong dot info.
