don't assume that just because we have democrats suddenly we're going to go gay-marriage crazy-- wish it was that way, though. in my state (Wisconsin), Democrats mostly won but we still had a marriage ammendment pass. argh. Democrats are better than the only other option right now, but that doesn't mean I like them. they don't stick up for what they believe in, they stick up for what they believe sticking up for will will them an election. for the most part, anyway... for that exact reason I don't expect many to be pushing for gay marriage. it'd alienate too many people.

I can never understand how people can oppose gay marriage. If gay marriage isn't allowed by law then it doesn't mean people will stop being gay! Gay people will exist no matter which laws you oppose. Ha!
I'm not a corporate fan, but think about this. You got people trying to pass laws forcing employers to pay for medical benefits for significant others. Now you got people saying let's let gays get married which will result in marriage benefits by employers to be paid. Add the two together and soon every guy with a room mate will ask his employer to insure his room mate be they male or female. So yeah, let's do this and force more employers to lose money and leave the country while we further destroy family values. If you're such a fan boy of gays, are you going out of the way to find activities that are run by openly gay men for your son? I mean, it's a value you believe in, why not pass that value onto your son and entrust him to the gay men with those vaules in your absense for his pleasure?
