How do I decide what would be the best niche to get into? Is it better to go for things like weight loss and the popular niches or Is it more profitable to go for the less popular niches or sub-niches?
I'd pick one of the big profitable areas, then narrow in til you get to a much more targeted sub-niche. eg money making - money making on the internet - money making on the internet using facebook - moneymaking on the internet using facebook ads. If you zone in on the last of those, you'll have a chance to become a relative expert and teach others.
I think for long-term profits it can be a good idea to get into one of the bigger niches, but like JimmyFreeman said, narrow it way down. Sometimes though, I find that the smaller niches can be a fun & different way to make some money quickly - although that of course depends on your promotional methods. Either way, just make sure you familiarize yourself with the market and cater to their needs!
Yup - I like starting small in a sub-niche, but give myself enough room to grow upwards if things start to take off!

First make a little research and think in which area you are good, like if you choose wait loss and you don't know much about that, it would be a bad idea. Simply go for such niche which you have interest and knowledge.

It stupid to go for popular niches because the competitors are too strong. The best way to do it is so for a niche that you are most interested in. You are motivated for it much more than something like lawyers.
