I understand backlinks are very important in the world of SEO. My question is this. Are all your backlinks placed in a relevant site section like this website http://www.digitalcamera-hq.com/digital-cameras/dchq-resources_guide.html ?

or when you refer to i believe reciprocal links they are links that show up in the body of some article or something to that effect?

Im seeing people say that they get 100+ links, but where do they put them?

also the best places to get links are article submission and directories?

article submission sites and directories are the easiest places to get links, not the best.

aggressive link hunting is not a good idea for new sites. aggressive acquiring of links should only be done on "never sandboxed" domains. if the domain's new, don't try it. it'll probably just hurt you.

I was reading a pdf on some SEO tips and this guy said that you will never be in the sandbox if you have a website with some links from websites with a decent page rank. I dunno if he is talking foolishness

    read this.

you will not automatically get you of the sandbox. getting high PR links will not automatically get you out. the only easy, surefire way to get out and be able to do aggressive link building is to buy an old, established domain and put your site there.

if that isn't an option, don't do aggressive link building, period. let links come naturally.
