Hye Guys. I hope all is wellWell, i'm graduating from my university this April. And I'm thinking of starting my full time blogging career right after that. As you know, the starting salary as audit and accounts exec isn't that high to cover my daily expenses and other financial obligations. And for that reason, I'm thinking of writing a blog as my career. What do you think? Should I continue with this idea or find another job and make blogging as my part time job?
Definitely start part-time unless you absolutely do not need any income for a few months and will be able to get back on your feet if you can't make it work. Do you have something else you can do part-time over the Internet that would provide a decent income to subsidize you until you get a handle on making an income from blogging, such as some sort of programming? Blogging is not something many people can do full time. You are likely to find, if you really look into it a bit, that most successful bloggers still do it only part-time and have a primary career still.
I think you need to rethink your career plan. A full time blogging career isn't something that just happens overnight. You need serious traffic numbers and a certain skillset to make it happen. Do you know the saying, you have to learn how to walk before you can run? The same things apply with full time blogging. Become a blogger first, then maybe you can monetize the traffic late down the road, but it's definitely not a sure thing.
I think.. better to start with part time job until your have got good traffic and earning. Then, you may consider to switch into full time job. But I still think it is risky to do so.
First start this job as a part time when you get handsome income then you convert into this full time business.
Agree with everything said here; do NOT start a full-time blogging career. If you want to make a real living with it, it generally takes months if not YEARS to build up a sizeable loyal following that you can sell to. Find a job, and just blog in the meantime about a niche topic.
Well, making an income from blogging takes a bit of time to grow your audience and stuff. I would recommend having some kind of other job until your blog takes off. Remember, to make money from blogging you must have a passion for it, and never give up. I hope this helps!
become the success unternet marketer, isn't easy.. but if u keep try,,try....n try.. u can success.. many way u can success from blog too,, adsense, amazon.. dont be affraid, if u want to serious, choose the first option..become the full time blooging n dont think anything, just trainning always,, n keep trying dont forget read important information at internet n many ebook ok
Blogging in the start won't give you full-profits no matter hard you try. It takes time for your links to be indexed, your posts to be loved by google. Treat blogging as a hobby, do it part-time find a real job which can sustain your daily needs.
thanks all for the suggestions.. just to have some insights from you about this.well i'm doing some freelance jobs now and maybe blogging can be part of it.
because most people believe in blogging as another source of passive income just like what Darren Rowse or Pat Flynn had achieved
Well i think the one important thing that you should consider is that you want to work in a domain that you like, if you like working as a blogger, do this, If you like working with cars, that again choose cars, don't do the opposite stuff, even if the money you make from building cars are not as much as the money you can earn from blogging. I'm just saying.
Part time blogging is better in my opinion. Because it will take longer to make money from your blog. So it will be good for you to do whatever you are doing right now and blogging part timely. This will help you to get understand about the tricks of blogging and how to make money out of it.
It really comes down to this: do you have enough money in your savings account to cover all of your expenses for at least two years? If so, try full-time blogging for one year and see how it goes. If, at the end of that year, you aren't making enough money that you aren't having to dip into your savings at all, then start searching for a job. (You'll have that second year of savings to fall back on if it takes a while to find the right job.) If you don't have enough money to support yourself without a job, then a job should be your top priority. Once you have income coming in, blog in your free time and build an audience as quickly as you can. The problem with blogging is that some people wait years before they build enough of an audience to even be able to get advertising; even then, if the blog doesn't have a HUGE audience, they won't make enough money with ads to live on.
Start blogging with part time, don't quit your job yet. Finding niche about your blog. make your blog unique and don't stop learning how to make money blogging.
