I have a theme on my site which I've set up the way I like it. Although everyday when I goto update the site, the default theme is back on it and I have to goto the admin and set it back, then the next day its back to default. Pretty annoying and also the first time I've had this prob with WP over many blogs I've set up.. Any ideas from anyone? Thanks
Is this the only one of your many blogs trying to use this particular theme? (ie; Are any other of your blogs using this theme without incident?)
If this Wordpress installation is the only one you have trying to use this particular theme ... maybe Wordpress thinks this theme is "broken" in some way, and as such automatically reverts back to the default. This isn't some wild-ass wordpress theme that you downloaded from some obscure corner of the Internet, it is? The only other thing that comes to mind is if you had 2 wordpress installations on the same server, and they were getting confused on which theme to use. But you've already stated that they are on different domains. Sorry I've been no help.
No, it's ok, you are helping. Sometimes pointing out the obvious things can help fix it, because as I said I have set up MANY of these and sometimes when you do things alot you over look the simple steps... Thanks for your replies i'll let you know once I figure it out!
I just made a few tweaks to make sure that the DB's for other sites weren't mixing up the db's as I have so many and it's a big mess lol... We'll see I guess... I just gotta wait and see if it sticks.
This usually happen if your server is on a high load that make the db query for wp too long. Always happen to me. If you are annoy by this problem, just rename the existing 'default' folder to something else and then rename your current theme folder to 'default'.
Yes, very likely - try uploading the theme again. also, if your theme makes use of some special plugins or widgets, do have a look there as well
