I recently read a blog about content marketing and I would like to highlight a portion of the concept on how to successfully market contents online. What made the reading material more enjoyable is the way the writer presented the idea. He used angry birds in his illustration. To give you a run-down here it is: Red bird = the effect of daily blogs and tweets is how a small red bird gives Blue bird = the strength of 7 newsletters in a week yellow bird = equivalent to 30 podcasts or videos monthly white bird (the one laying egg when tapped) = this is a powerful bird as powerful as n e-book or white paper given in each quarter black bird = the bombing effect of webinar or in-person bi-annually big red bird = oversized success from an annual industry research project Contents by themselves are not enough. These tactics are necessary to make blogging a successful money-making experience.
Give your articles better exposure by simply getting them published on top websites and blogs. Your best bets here are article marketing sites such as EzineArticles. You can also use your articles when doing guest blogging and when you're answering questions on Yahoo! Answers. As for your blog posts, ensure that you link them together and promote them for further reading. This is to ensure that your visitors will be able to read as many posts as possible each time they pay you a visit.
Very true. It's certainly critical to publish articles throughout the Internet, however, building original content that is intuitive and informative is critical to any serious success of an online portal or business. Original content will get re-distributed at a high rate. Simply posting content to try to link build, while slightly more useful then not doing so, normally will turn a reader away rather then engaging them, and thus eliminating any viral aspirations your content may have had.
In post panda situation Content has to be original and high quality. I have seen it myself, that too in the early panda stages. I had a site with 0 backlinks (literally) with high quality content unique content (video, images as well). It was ranking #6-#7 on Google BEFORE PANDA. After the panda update started the site just jumped to #1 and stayed there for 2 months. It's still is within #3, I built many backlinks now but the competition in the niche has also increased.
