Website Submitter - new directory submitter software

For more then 4 months I have started the work on a website submitter software.

I have tried to submit my websites safe and without fear of banning because of automatic submition nad did not found any good solution. The second problem was the lack of new directories. So I build with my team our own tool. The application is named Website Submitter and can be found here.

Some information update as 07 november 2006:
- 1272 directories in database

I have tried to make the application taking care of what a webmaster wants. If you have suggestions will be gladly accepted.

For directory owners I have prepared a submission page. So if you want to submit your directory please do it on this page.

 

I am trying this now ! Is there a chance to add your own directories ?

 

File corrupt ! Please scan virus and reinstall program it says when I run it ! ! !

Hi, the error means the installer was not downloaded correct and is corruped. Please download it again. I have installed a protection in the executable, if the download is wrong or the file is attacked by a virus this message is displayed.

Sorry for the trouble, please redownload the application and if the download is not interupted you will not have this problem. The installer is quite small so should be no problem.

 

Opera seems to corrupt file ... with firefox it is good .... I have to say the software is looking good. Better than previous programs I used !

- complete the database with the directories I have now in queue
- multilanguage (EN,ES,FR,DE,RO for the start)
- reports in csv, excel, htm and pdf
- multiple titles and descriptions allowed
- multiple submission in the same time ( same directory but submission of more websites )
- wizard created for easier selection

 

what's the size of .exe? I'd love to try but cannot downoad big files at work and my laptop is collapsed

 

nice software, what is the limitation of 14 days trial compare to the registered version ?

 

Size is 1.5 Mb, quite small for an application.

No limitation for the 14 days. This will be changed in the future to 14 days full trial or 100 submissions. For the moment is unlimited features for 14 days.

Hmm intresting hope this realy works .
But i have a question if the chathegory isn't there where it submits ....

Planned are until the end of this month the following:

- wizard created for easier selection

If the category is not there you are left with the option to choose one that fits your website profile. There is no automatisation in choosing the category. From SEO point of view this is the best solution I think.

Looks like a good balance between complete auto and manual. I will give it a try later tonight and report back.

Can the 'USER' input their own directories too? if not that would be a nice feature that many submission softwares prevent or don't bother with...

 

Hi. The user cannot directlly input his new director. We offer a submission page and also the guarantee to be included in the next update. We are doing daily updates so the update will come in a next day after the submission is done.

We prefer to do this for the following reason:
- incadrate the director to the exact category where belongs
- extract input field patterns

We just uploaded some new updates in the server 10.08.2006
- 1424 directories in database (152 directories added)
Please click on Update in the application to download the updated directories. We have included also 50 directories submitted in the announcement thread, directories from the dp members.

Thank you. We have updated the database with 222 new directories, now the number of the directories in the application is 1646. we have made some changes also to the application itself (patterns update, new "add directory" button for updating the directories directly from the application).

 

Good job, but can you add reciprocal links filter, cause most of them free sites but request link back, and if I don t want to link back that is mean I should waste a lot of time pressing the button next submission, and if you can add more information about the site on the submission screen, like its PR, idexed pages and its age

I want to add, we need to save the session, that is mean I may submit my site for 50 directories but I need to turn off my computer until the next day, so I should start over from the begining

 

Hi I will take the following things from your post as suggestion sfor the next version:

- reciprocal link pattern
- on the submission page display also Google PR (now is diplay on the submission page), indexed pages amd age

The sessions are saved now allready. Let say you start submission and add only 50 and you close the application. Omce you open the application you will see in the SUBMITTED column the sunmitted websites marked with YES
