I want to hire a cartoonist to create cartoons for me on a long term basis it will my ideas and i want him her to make them.
I require full release rights from the animator for the animation and the characters i also want the copyright of the cartoon to resell.
It will be like funny political cartoons.

Do i need a contract or something written and sent to me?

Anybody got a sample of cartoon copyrights contracts?

If you want to own the copyright for what the cartoonist creates you will need a contract stating that the cartoonist's work is a "work for hire" and that the copyright will be owned by you.
