PayPerPost.com has now been running since May I believe. I've been with them for just over a month, and I've written approximately 30 posts. So far my experience has been good with them, no declined post except for one with a spelling error. They pay on time, and for some reason there are no paypal fees on the payments I've noticed lately though that there are fewer high paying advertisers, and they expect more words for less. Anyone else noticed this, or anything else?
Yes - either demands for a large number of links or several graphics or a video, etc. for the lowest cost $2.50 a post. Uh, yeah. But, that is what a market is - the advertisers who want too much will eventually get the signal when no one is taking their opportunity. It will work out and improve as more advertisers find this service.
I suppose it depends on the length of the piece. If it's two lines long and takes less than a minute then $4 is a pretty good deal.
It's usually only 50 words, which takes all of two minutes to conjure up. Where do you find $10+ posts?
Where? In the list.I only take the opportunities that offer $10..I'm lazy Note:I just realized that the site it's down now
looks like they screwed up on their latest update the link checker is broken, I can't take an opportunity...
I am sure that using Paypal is convenient to PayPerPost, thus they eat the fees and save accounting charges. PPP is an interesting concept, but there are some advertisers who are asking for way too much for too little of a pay out. Although posts only have to remain up for thirty days I am sure most bloggers will keep them up indefinitely. I know that is my plan.
As an advertiser there is a very good reason that I would never bid over $10 per post. There are no systems in place for me to verify the post before its posted. If I pay $20 instead of $5 all that happens is a few people make an extra $15, my link still appears on the same sites. Its a really stupid system.
But a profitable one! Advertisers can help shape PPP by requiring that bloggers have a certain level of PR before accepting a post. In addition, most bloggers will probably keep their entries up well past the required 30 day period. When I select a PPP post I go with those that match my site. It only hurts me if I add and delete messages.
Its not a profitable business model to create a maketplace where the transaction value is forced to be very low. I would pay up to $200 for a post on a lot of blogs but I can't do this with PPP.
If it was related to one of my sites and you didn't have paid links then I would pay $100. I did mean I would pay $200 per blog post. In the UK when you are promoting sites with a large budget $200 is not much money at all.
