Learn Arabic Language - The Language of Quran

Discussion in 'Politics & Religion' started by thegr4, Dec 24, 2011.

Quran is a miracle for every living being. By not learning Arabic language we are depriving ourselves from the greatest miracle of this age. It is a book of guidance for every living being to achieve success in the hereafter and in everyday life. A translation can not be a substitute of the original language. Its words are so powerful that its message will penetrate into the heart. The feeling of joy you get after understanding the Quran when it is being recited is indescribable. Please learn Arabic and understand it. Please also invite other Muslim brothers and sisters to do the same. I have compiled the entire arabic course comprising of videos and three books, the books are available in the PDF format.

A prerequisite is that you should know how to read the Quran.

    http://www.islamidentity.com/browse/Arabic+Course+Lessons.html

Please learn Arabic and share with others.

Arabic language sounds terrible to listen to and Quran is probably one of the more stupid books that you can read, right along with bible so I hardly doubt that there is any point to learning Arabic.

Ethnocentrism - The belief that one's own culture is superior to that of another and judging other's cultures based on your own.

You say that Arabic is the best because without it, the Quran just isn't the same and can't be fully understood. That is predicated on your notion that the Quran is superior to the Bible, the Torah, or any other work about the afterlife in history. If you were to ask someone from a different culture who doesn't speak Arabic, nor practice Islamic faith, they'll tell you the same thing. Just realize that no one culture is superior to another's, especially when 'organized' religion is at the forefront of that argument.

I have read the Quran. I have a copy in my study.

Have you ever read the Christian Bible? You will get to know it once you understand the message of the Bible.

You seem to be dishonestly ignoring questions put to you, so I will repeat:

Have you ever read the Christian Bible?

@thegr4: I hope that your reverence for the Arabic language is not an implication that Muslims who study translated copies of the Qu'ran are somehow lesser, or more ignorant muslims, or muslims with less faith.

This coming from a huge fan of the writings of Karl Marx

You have read the book of Karl Marx but did not read the Quran. So you just assume what Karl Marx is saying is right. You don't have decision of your own.
