Hi, I am currently using "test" as my pub-id and I was wondering if you guys would tell me if my site is good blending or illegal? http://www*gl-diets.com/ If illegal then whats the best way I can go about making it legal but keeping blending to a optimum. Thanks
I think it's good blending - very good blending, in fact. I don't see how it would be illegal, other than maybe a slight chance that people may think the links may be misleading. I doubt it it though.
Thanks I thought so too but I got this reply from adsense before: - Can I challenge this do you feel?
Remove it, dude. As soon as I saw it, I said, "He can't do that." Yeah, it's real clever and whatnot, but you are DECEIVING THE USER to click. BTW Now you know whose posts to ignore. Everyone who told you it was fine.
I guess your talking about the menu ad-unit? Is the other OK? So what does eveyone feel will be the best way to make it legal but keeping blending to a optimum.
Yes, they're talking about the adlinks unit on the side. I can't believe you still have it up there and haven't taken it down yet, even after they've told you explicitly that it's against their policies. Are you really that desperate to trick your poor visitors into clicking on ads???
just throw a border around it. That's what the email told you to do, so do it. It will still blend in very well.
I'd try putting a bit more distance between the ad and the actual navigation, or changing the order: ad below the navigation instead of vice versa.
Your adsense integration looks very nice to me however to receive more visitors you will need to post more unique content on your site. Happy earnings.
Slightly off topic but: Amaze, you said you were using 'test' as a pub-ip? google_ad_client = "test"; Isn't that considered altering the Adsense code? Or is it allowed? Back on topic. As a newbie I'd say that top left one posing as a navigation bar was illegal.
I'm getting the feeling Amaze does a lot of things he's not supposed to in service of chasing the almighty Dollar. Of course I could be wrong...
No the units are currently in "test mode" so when people click I don't get any money nor does the publisher get charged... Its a "demo mode" if you like.. You can't get banned when its in "test mode" I highly doubt. Thats the whole point of it!
Just curious (I'm a newbie). Is this a guess or is it a fact. I've spent a lot of time trying to familiarise myself with the rules and I don't recall seeing that anywhere. I realise they can't trace a 'test' pub-id, but they will know which domain it's on.
You arent allowed to align the text exactly like they are presented in the adlinks, I remember reading someone else who had a similiar problem. Change it immediately..
