Hi , I have a problem with the way google is displaying my site in search result. So the design of my site I have the index page is a page with an animation on it as well as welcome to.. then click the above animation to enter. You click the animation to then enter the home.html page, ect. but but google is completly missing this in google display it is showing my site as http://www.(mysitename).com/home.html I would like it to display http://www.(mysitename).com so people arn't missing my animation , It is the index.html page so I wonder why it has indexed home.html as the page to display? I was thinking of going into my webmaster tools and click display as http://www.(mysite).com But I thought I would ask you first, as I don't wan't to effect seo as i'm second in page search results just want it to display my index page in search results. thanks
Hi, Google dosen't crawl on flash pages if so please put some quality effective content to compensate, then there will be some chances to crawl on your index.html
yes, I was also puzzle from this type of problem, like my changable banners and animation are not showing in google indexing. then i replace the these things to images and informatic contents and now, i am feeling well.
Hi But I have done it before , the exact same process although I was using yahoo sitebuilder then, but the main page was a gif animation, which is my site is a gif animation on the index page. I'm now new to dreamweaver cs4 and it doesn't seem to be working?
in your server setting it would be mentioned what page to show, you if you set there home page then it would show home page else index.. check the setting...
Crawling depends upon the complexity of the rich media.. Probably in your previous sites, Google was able to crawl the files and was displayed in search results... I believe, this time Google is unable to crawl it and this is why it is not displayed.
