I personally choose linux and i love to work on linux. Its depend on the work you do. So i advice you to use linux.
Microsoft is more friendly user i suggest you use microsoft if you are not a "hardcore" user.Linux is better than microsoft but you need to have more knowledge. Linux is a free OS, you can download it and it is open source that gives you the opportunity to change many things depending on your needs. Those are some of the advandages and disadvandages of linux and windows
Linux is for very simple stuff like for self use but if you are going to use it for business you should choose microsoft
You mean simple stuff like the internet? And your phone? And every hollywood movie graphics? Simple stuff like that?
Considering end user point of view Microsoft is good and from programmer point of view Linux is good. To conclude in one sentence I can say "Microsoft is devloped by programmer for end user and Linux is developed by programmer for programmer "
For me its always been "Microsoft".. i can't really tell what you should need but i would advise you to choose the one you're comfortable with.
If you need to use applications that run on Windows the environment that does not have a counterpart application in Linux then definitely go for Microsoft Windows. If you are just going to do word processing, emails, browsing then Linux is the best choice.
