hi my competitors are using the trick which is given below for gov and edu backlinks. any body can tell me, its white or black hat? monster is not my competitor, it is just an example. I typed in google monster.com inurl:gov www.empiritag.com/site/www.vacareers.va.gov www.toprelateds.com/site/www.fletc.gov www.robtex.com/dns/usajobs.opm.gov.html
i don't think that's a black hat trick... it's okay if u give ur site with gov or edu backlink... because google likes .gov and .edu CMIIW
They might have used some blackhat techniques to get those links. But, having those link doesn't prove they used blackhat techniques.
CAN ANYBADY PROVIDE ME BACKLINKS SAME AS THE URL BELOW? ... pariopportunita.gov.it check source code to seee the links.. Or any software which can add/remove them over there.?
It's not black hat (unless they buy those links) Anyway, .gov and .edu backlinks are not just important because "they ARE .gov or .edu". It just happens that those sites are usually very authoritative and have tons of quality links. Other sites with the same authority are as effective for backlinks even if they're not .gov or .edu.
Usually it's easier for these sites to rank as "authority" sites within Google though. For example, a site, lets say gogettechtips.info - has 50 articles on technical support. Still PR1. Not yet an "authority" within Google. An .EDU blog with 10 blog post, harvard.edu/blog/gogettechtips, would usually be more authoritative and beneficial to backlink from within Google.
