I'm from the Dallas, Texas metroplex! Howdy! I actually wear the cowboy boots and hat, and think Texas is great. I wasn't born here but got here as soon as I could, the whole corny spiel. Nothing like riding your horse on 50 acres of your own property out in the country with only a 15-20 minute commute to the inner city. Nothing like it.
Welcome to you, Jonathan15. Yes, Texas is one of our most interesting states, one that some people simply can't [or won't] wrap their minds around. Eeeehaaaah!
The best state! Great jobs, great people, great land. I can work a bit, come home to my family, ride my horse on the land, eat homegrown veggies and fruits, relax, enjoy soccer in the yard with the kids just about everyday. Have fun in the city working hard day to day, rushing to red lights, drinking coffee, eating your high fructose corn poison, and artificial sweetners with estrogen-laden soybean oils (haha and watch your body turn girly), trans fatty, microwaved (the same waves that were being designed to kill soldiers) food, and sipping it down with even more HFCS caffeine drink to rush to work all in the hopes that one day you can take a vacation to a nice ranch and relax with the family, eat tasty homegrown food, and play with your kids on the land.
Kinda the Plano-McKinney-Frisco area a bit out more but close by. So nice to have a 50 acres but 10-20 minutes from deep city.
Welcome Jonathan I have been to Texas. Dallas was too big..Houston's roads scared me..especially Montrose Ave. I liked Galvinston on the straind Very neat place with many different kinds of areas to pick from. Personally living that far from a store to get bagels would scare me too
I dont know if i should say welcome or good bye to you I live in Houston. I have visited almost all of the US. Every year our family travels from Houston all the way to Toronto Canada when my sisters get summer break from school. My two uncle live in Toronto with their family i am also planning to move their sometime next year. From Toronto we go to Vancouver and Calagary and then to California and back to houston. This has been our route for past 3 years now. Thats over 6000 miles trip and we love that in a rental van . I dont know why i am telling this in intro but i love houston and i find this is the best city to live in. Best thing i like about Texas is that people here are not as materialistic as they are in other states of US specially New York city In my opinion Houston is 10/10 in all aspects
We lived in Houston for four years. Amazing what you can buy for the $$ as it pertains to housing!! Hey, is I-45 still under construction
Well, Real estate prices are gowing up every second but still they are cheaper then Northern states. I-45 is complete as far as i know and as far as i have used it. Beltway is still under construction though
