I've already joined Diaspora, though mainly because I was interested in what it's all about. The site is great in terms of your ability to be in full control of your account and your social media activity there. I'm happy that the authors have managed to get sufficient investments

Right, plus it is an encrypted connection and nodes ( distributed computing ) make it killproof.

See the reality behind US dropping down as a superpower and next superpower is:

Watch Imran Hossein Lectures. He has been saying this since the last 15 years.

1 hour and 28 minutes? Uggh, no thanks..
Why don't you summarize whatever the heck he says, If you actually want to add something in the discussion?

Like Webby wrote, I'm not watching a video over an hour long. That is a rude and inconsiderate intrusion upon my time.

I echo what Webby wrote, "Why don't you summarize whatever the heck he says, If you actually want to add something in the discussion? "

Thanks again. I will have to hit you up in private at a later time as I have absolutely no clue how to install it, but I do want a similar community on www.rhesusnegative.net

I have read about Mark's comments (or rather some of them) recently when news broke that one of the Diaspora founders died.

Just watched 2 minutes of it and he is very long winded. Speaks about the wars over gold, nothing I haven't head of before. Agreed, if there is something new and enlightening from him, post it and at least specify the minute mark from which on his speech is worth watching.

Did anyone here see that China and Japan are no longer using the "world's currency" to do business?

I think anyone that accepts the US dollar is being ripped off.

How so? The same could be said of any European or Asian currency. Keep in mind that much of the debt that is backed by other currencies is US treasury debt. Kinda makes just about everything out there equally worthless.

Totally agree with you, the current crisis has shown that no currency in the world is forever stable. Buy gold, people)

What I found incredible was that when the Fed prints up more money out of thin air (quantative easing) the US has to pay interest to the Fed for that money. How crazy, or smart if you happen to own it I guess. Setting it up that way provides the Fed with plenty of reasons to convince government they need to keep printing more & more. I guess what's even more incredible is the American people allow this to continue.

Might be worth voting in RP just so he will stop that one thing. It's only four years of shit you need to put up with (at worst) then you can decide again if he was good for your nation. I'd be voting for anyone willing to stop that very lucrative rort once & for all and in this case your only choice is Ron Paul (even though he looks like a doddery old fool).

This is something most people do not understand: Neither the U.S. nor most countries have control over their own currency.
Hard to imagine all it takes is one man to save the day though.
