    I prefer Google for simple reason - I have always use it, after Alt Vista in the 90s. I have tried Yahoo few times,
    but it has few things compering to Google which i don't like:

    - No maps, local searching is more informative in Google
    - Search results are better with Google, at least in Finnish

    Have to say that Yahoo looks lot better though.

    I dis agree with you. Google is better looks over yahoo. And its feature is attractive than yahoo though yahoo is old.

    Yahoo has a web framework, working like jquery but not so famuos. Yahoo User Interface Library is however more efficient for websites.Seehttp://developer.yahoo.com/yui/download for more details.The is the main reason why i think that yahoo is stille better than google. Not that google doesn't have a YUI and, of course it encurages opensource with google summer of code but however, yahoo was using object oriented programming features much before, and better than google and, google is in debt with yahoo, as yahoo was using google algorithms to search the web and this is the main reason for the succes of google, eventually.i know this is an argument good for the javascript forum, but its important.______________________my 2 centshttp://www.webfaction.com/shared_hosting?affiliate=softplay

    basically what you do is type in one word (or a word and a verb because it works better) such as I am afraid, I like, ect. and the part on each search engine that comes down with suggested things to search is how to tell which search engine wins. Basically which one says funnier things. I have found personally that Google is always a sure-fire winner.
