Its been years hasn't it? When do they finally kick in?

    ........

yeah...I see after laying low during the clown debates of misinformation you are promoting Newt Gingrich.....

Gingrich...quite a guy. Distinguished this way in the political world:

More people who have worked with him or for him hate his guts more than any other politician in America.

The most distrusted politician in America. That is quite an accomplishment...in a sleazy world he is the sleaziest, least trusted of all.

nice choice. My advice: double or triple the med dosage.

Now now. Are you purposefully trying to exclude Bill Clinton, who loves the guy, or is this just another one of your fabrications? I like Newt because he is the smartest guy in the room, even if he is a bit ego-maniacal. He is also a guy who knows how to get things done.

Right now, its looking like Newt, Paul, or Romney, with Romney having the best odds, though I'll take any of them over Obama. Looks like 54% of voting America agrees.

What will you say if Iran or another country start trying the same things and may be cause a big disaster in USA, would you consider it their right to do so? The capture of the drone showed that this is a game that both side can play and sometimes even the weakest opponent can get a lucky punch. When you start a war then you cannot complain if your side also gets hurt but it seems a typical attitude of Americans lately that they cheer their soldiers kill other people but get all upset and mad when the other side shoots back. May be it is time for Americans to understand the difference between war and the video games about war when no one really gets killed and stop their aggresion policies.

Fair questions. Once the US started using drones it opened the world for use of drones by others. I suspect that has been the history of all weapon development going back to the bow and arrow. Others will develop drones. If usage of such causes a great disaster in the US... I wouldn't blame it on drones themselves. I wouldn't blame the US for first using drones. I'd blame the people who caused the disaster. Should I blame the Wright brothers for developing aircraft for the disaster at the World Trade Center Twin towers? I think not.

GWorld: I would agree. Both sides will be able to use drones in time. If this capture didn't occur at this time, something in the future would have spread this technology at a later date.

The cheering and getting upset....its probably not just an American phenomena...though I believe the arrogance of the American neoconservatives that generated the amazingly horrendous wrong headed/horrible results/large volumes of deaths/huge cause of deficits/and essentially contributed to strengthening of Iran.......Ah those neoconservatives with their arrogance and the "shock and awe" PR approach to everything probably contribute to the phenomena of American consciousness being removed from reality.

I think there is a lot of movement to this "video game" type of long range war. Its going on.

There are big issues that correspond to your points. I don't deny them. I still wish stuxnet, which I suspect was a result of Israeli and US/ and corporate agreements and research would have had more dire results.

But it was good in its own basis. Those are my opinions.

No, that came from China or Russia.....Iran does not possess that capability. By the way, recent US reports state that the drone was not brought down by anyone, it simply crashed.

Because this is a top of the line stealth drone not a typical RC plane with a camera . That makes the difference , someone screwed up big time and heads need to roll like a river .

I was actually more concerned about IT(virus/stuxnet) attack than drones. Iran will not use any drones for attack but they have highly educated population and they are progressing fast in the field of computer science. What happens if they decide to use some kind of virus to close the cooling system to an atomic power plant in USA or open one of the big dam in the wrong time. Such attacks can be with total denied and USA afterward need to wonder if it was China, Russia, Iran,.... or a accidental mistake. Going down that road of sabotaging each other infra structure is a dangerous path which sooner or later will cause harm to civilian population.

Its pretty clear that virus and electronic attacks on nations infrastructures are already in the target of various nations. I live near Washington DC and have met people from the Pentagon. They don't deny they are very concerned with regard to Computer sabotage coming from other nations. Its been in the Press and authorities have described it as one of the major concerns with regard to National Security.

Similarly I suspect the US is targeting the infrastructures of foreign nations. I believe we would be stupid not to do so since our systems are already under attack.

Your fears are already being realized.

I know that is already being done but I meant that instead of cheering and applauding such efforts, people should take a stand that we should stop such weapons and /or limit their target to only military systems instead of speeding full ahead. I have a bad feeling that we haven´t learned our lessons from WWI & WWII and everybody is getting ready for WWIII and with the attitude and mentality that is all just a video game, it won´t be long that someone will push a button to start it.

GWorld: I deplore its growth and the immeasurable threats it will create. Its cyber warfare and its going on. Within the US and other freer nations it will and is leading to fewer freedoms.

As to being part of an effort to stop its growth and/or the growth of other threats....being part of those movements isn't my participation "thing" these days...but if there are groups making world wide head way and getting everyone to stop....let me know...I'd eagerly join the bandwagon of getting everyone to stop...and I do mean everyone.

On a side issue and referring to "everyone" I was reading about the N. Korean leader who just died in some articles. Some of the analysis and descriptions basically focused on the fact that this dictator managed to stay in power while starving his people, leading his country into abject poverty, and eliminating virtually all freedoms, by only one basis. He kept using his control of a huge threatening military and the threat of nuclear weapons for years and years....and before that his father did the same with military threats.

Think of it...going back to the 1980's the N. Koreans variously and occasionally killed people from other nations, planted bombs, brought down a jet liner, sent a missile over japan, built Nukes, and maintained a military of around 2 million soldiers. (2 million active duty in a nation with 21 million==about 10% of the population.....the US, which spends money on military like its going out of style has an active military of about 1.5 million and a reserve basis of about 1.5 million. So you can say the US has a military of 0.5% of the population or 1% of the population versus the N Korean percentage of 10%. Those 2 N. Koreans have been a consistent threat to world peace for decades....and the father and son managed to stay in power for decades.

My question is how in the world do you ever get people like that to agree to forego any kind of development of cyberwarfare??? How?? Being a threat is how they stay in power.

What was even more funny was when they failed to show a single photograph of the man that was supposedly found and killed. Many of the Seal 6 team members mysteriously died a few months later.

Holding out hope that BinLaden is still alive? Seems your kind is on an endangered species list these days. I suppose its only a mater of time before someone takes the time to figure out whose dup account you are. IsraeI?

For the record, I don't think Seal team 6 got Bin Laden either. I hear he died years earlier from a disease that can only be obtained by sodomizing a goat.

I never mentioned anyone named Bin Laden, the man I'm talking about is Tim Osman, a CIA asset that died roughly 10 years ago from kidney failure. A fictitious group named Seal team 6 took responsibility for finding him in one of the most unlikely places of Pakistan a number of months ago, they then claimed to have killed him.

Now that is strange. Just a few posts back, you claimed "Many of the Seal 6 team members mysteriously died a few months later" and now you are claiming Seal Team 6 is a fictitious group. I think I like your newest story better. Did you know Gitmo is also a fiction? There is no prison on Guantanamo Bay.
