Should I keep going at it? Or expand to new products?

    Hey,

I have just started affiliate marketing and I have made myself a website, it gets around 30-50 clicks on the affiliate link per day with around the same visits per day from a range of different keywords. I have got overall about 700 clicks on the link and not one of them converted, I am worried that this website will not be sustainable and it will be a waste of money, what should I do from the choices below?

    • Should I keep going at it and get some SEO work done on the site so it ranks better and gets more visits? They will then convert.
    • Should I keep going at it but don't spend much time on it, just do some posts here and there
    • Should I expand what I am doing and get more affiliate products in there
    • Should I give up and sell the site?

Please pick one you think would be the most sensible and be sure to give me an explanation.

    Thanks alot.

    My suggestion is:

"Should I keep going at it and get some SEO work done on the site so it ranks better and gets more visits? They will then convert."

You'll probably find your conversion might be high for the products you're trying to push, so you'll need a decent amount of traffic to get the conversions going. You could try and mix up the products, to possibly get some better converting stuff in there, though building any business takes time.

Definitely keep going. I would try different affiliate links or different products or I'd work on my wording to change the conversion rate. If you're getting traffic and it's not converting it may be because of how you have your wording or the site itself. Just keep tweeking the whole picture and eventually you'll strike.

You can not get success right away. Your target should be attract more "Targeted traffic" by different means. Although organic traffic is obviously very targeted but that should not be the only way to get targeted traffic to your website.
You have to keep working and you should never Give up. Because you could get your first sell just tomorrow!

You should definitely keep going! Just look over you website as a whole. Make changes, maybe change the products or the overall appearance.

You had better learn some SEO knowledge, though it is a boring thing to me.You will have to take much time on it.

Despite people's somwhat lacklustre advic i'd say it depends actually on what you are selling in the first place -If your products aren't any good then you won't get conversions, if they're not related to your site then you won't get conversions, if you do SEO to improve your ranking then great - if you're already high up the rankings then don't bother. Also analyse how you are actually selling the products ON your site - are you targetting conversions? CHECK OVER YOUR CONTENT AND AD PLACEMENTS.
Generally you need to do a complete work up of your site and find out the biggest problems - and yes try and get more traffic!
