Hello, My site www.film-by-you.co.uk gets a good amount of traffic - 1000 plus UK visitors per month. It gets loads more however we are a UK only supplier. I have the .org site too that gets 500 UK visitors per month - this site is for affiliates customers. I have been running the site now for 3 months and have had ZERO sale. I need help !! Are they any experts that can offer any opinion or suggestion on what I can do to convert traffic into sales. on the .co.uk site 60% of traffic is from google with relivent keywords so i do get good quality traffic. Average time spent on my site by this 60% is just over 2 mins (which is a long time isnt it??). My bounce rate is 70%. Can anybody help me ??? I am VERY open to ideas and suggestions. Thank you
It's an unusual business concept. I'd look at websites for similar businesses around the globe. What are they doing? If they are in another country contact them for some help. They probably will not mind helping as long as you are not a competitor in their country.
so you cant see anything thats not good enough with teh design or see why people are not making a booking?
I was talking to my son who has just finished second year of a film making degree, about your business. He said the reason it is not working is that most people are intimidated by technology. They don't want to learn about how to use some high tech camera. They want an expert to do it for them.
hmmm thats a good point - so the site needs something to make it less scary at the thought of using an expensive camera.... Ill have to add something to address that - Thanks John that is very helpful.. Thinking on my main competitor as a "how to" video on their home page to help. Any of thoughts from people would be good??
John, Just following on again from what I said - I am going to also rewrite the home page text with a good paragraph to reassure patential customers.... Again many thanks John what you have said is very usful and we are now certainly going to change or site/marketing on your feedback
How's this for a solution. At present the how to film a wedding training video, the hire of the high tech camera and the editing service are all bundled up into one high ticket package. I think you should sell the how to film a weddiing training video should be offered as a cheap lead in product at say $29. The hire of the high tech camera and the editing service should be offered as separate back-end products.
