Hello i run my blog on blogger(Blogspot) some internet marketers suggest me email marketing is best way to get traffic. Can you tell me hows it's works how i can do that is google friend connect or email marketing are same. I am totally new in email marketing so suggest me.
It works just like it sounds. You send an email to people with a pitch of your product/site. Do some reading before posting.
It is simply using email to reach prospects/customer. The key is to build a list of prospects/customers, and build relationships with them through email, by adding value. The end point is to make sales from your email list.
Its working very simple, find some email marketing provider, set up script what they offer( Lets say, when people come in your web, pop up window jumps out and offer people to give his email to get news from your blog to his email), so you get lot of people emails and just start sending mass emails when you have something new at your web

In terms of getting actual trafffic to offers email mrketing is only good if youhave alrready built the relationships of trust through good site content and a good newsletter.
You gain a customer base, that way they can follow you through the e-mails you send them. Once you have loyal followers you can re-sell them products over and over again. This is in fact a good business model

I disagree.. I use Aweber and when I compose an email it has a spam level detector so when you got a high level spam you can edit your email right away.
Email marketing is submitting offers to your mialing list, ofcourse getting the mailing list is the hardest part, and for that you will need an autoresponder like Aweber or Getresponse, if you already have a mailing list, they will have to re-subscribe again, and most won't
To effectively use email marketing you need to get traffic to your squeeze page so you can get people to subscribe to your email list, so I don't think it's an effective way to get traffic to your site. I do think email marketing is one of the most lucrative ways to make constant money as once you have someone on your list you can market to them - making money from your own products, affiliate marketing, CPA etc. I think everyone who works in IM should own a list!
Actually Email Marketing is how the BIG internet marketers make millions (like Frank Kern). Most of them aren't well known though. You simply build an email list of customers in a certain niches and then sell them products (either your own or someone else's).
Spam has nothing to do with Email Marketing. Spam is everywhere. Using Frank Kern again as an example, he never spams and he's doing Email Marketing. You can use a knife to cut a pie or murder a person, it's up to you. Nothing to do with the knife.
Let me drop some knowledge in this thread since there are quite a few people who don't really know what email marketing is or how it works. Generally email marketing consists of gathering emails from one source or another. A lot of people try and "rent" email lists that you see everywhere. That promise hundreds of thousands or millions of emails that you can market to for like 10-50$. The prices alone should be a dead giveaway if you ever try and rent out email lists. Truth is these lists are probably full of fake emails or dead emails, meaning they never got any response out of them or they've been spammed to death so they are worthless. I'd stay away from services selling or renting out email lists. The best way to do email marketing is collect emails yourself. Here's how its generally done... Find a niche, for our example we will use weightloss. Next you are going to want to build a capture page. This is a page that generally offers something of value in turn the customer enters their email. For example: "get your free 5 steps to easy weight loss ebook, just tell us where to send it". and have an email capture form like aweber. Once they sign up to your list you send them the free ebook and now you have their email. But wait! before you start spamming them with offers you are going to want to build trust with your customers. Email them a couple times before you hit them with a product offer. You want to get them to trust you so when you email them the first couple of times after the join your list you want to give them more valuable information so they will begin to trust you and look forward to your emails. Once you have their trust you can begin emailing them products once and awhile and they will buy from you because they trust you. If you do it right you will have a valuable list of customers that you can email for years to come that will make you money.
