Nice, but I think it teeters on the edge of being misleading. Not sure if it's against TOS or not, except they need to put a line between the image and the ad.
Yeah, it's the image that appears to be part of the ad that's the problem. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to put a line between the image and the ad, a placeholder of some sort.
i'm not trying to boast, but I think mine is better lol! http://www.lazyrecords.co.uk/forum AND it's ENTIRELY within the TOS The PSTUT blending is brilliant!
Yours is good. I have to admit, I missed it the first time (just saw the top three). That PSTUT *is* brilliant. When I found it yesterday in 5StarAffiliateForum I knew I had to post on it. Gorgeous.
Awesome find! I first read this post, visited the site and though to myself that they had taken the ads off. I read a little more, looked again and Wow! Nice color, nice layout and easy on the eyes! Thank you for posting this!
Hmmm the ads are misleading, I had done that to one of my sites. My links and ads were exactly a like and perfectly blended. Now that site has been banned. The end.
Its great blending, better say amazing and I dont think its against TOS. Its not an arcade site where image could be missleading, that image is only on whole page, and its egsactly thing that make difference between content. It would probably be much more trickier if there is no image.
Against TOS.. They are better off just getting rid of the light bulb and just have the ad. Higher CTR and it's legit.
I think so too Fahd. Check out this site I found today when i was looking for animal jokes rss feeds. I actually clicked on the ad. http://www.buzzle.com/chapters/animals-and-pets_jokes-and-funnies.asp
I dont understand why you would chose to anoy your visitors? I hate sites like that, its dishonest and unprofessional. Pierce
The moral of advertising – it’s all about money. Many of these ads are actually leading to useful information.
Sure, its all about money, id agree. But wouldnt you make more money by retaining people? Useful information, yeah i would agree with that, but not all the time. And some people dont like being pushed around a site, espically if they just found a site through organic seach to click on an ad and pushed somewhere non relivant. P.S preimum publisher, is 20mill+ impressions on AdSense IIRC Pierce
Well, there is 2 sides to everything. I have a pet related site with a forum where the ads are extremely relevant and even I used to click on them when they could have some useful info. Yea, I know – I stopped clicking on my own ads after I read about adsense TOS. Anyway, I am not selling anything on this particular site and no one of my members has ever complained about the ads. So I guess I provide some useful info for my visitors. But again, there are always 2 sides to the story and I agree with you there, some sites are just simply annoying with their ads. Is there any advantage of being a premium publisher?
