I damn confusing some ask me add max the 3 unit ad block and another 3 link unit as well.. I don't think less ad placement get lower cpc.. bt still confusing..
I experience this : I hv checked the ads performance, and found that some link unit really have low cpc, so I decide to remove it.. I now happy with my clean looking site, or maybe my visitor's click bring me better earning (although jst a little bit)
You should use ads unit that fit in your template or theme, don't go to use maximum allowed links. Site or blogs should not look packed with ads.
Agree with the statement above. Visitors will not be happy to stay longer in a website if it is full of ads.
many says so, but i have watch the official adsense video that high cpc come from advertisers who win the auction of ads placement on one's site. So, if you want a good cpc, make the advertisers interested to place their ads on your site.
Theoritically less ads higher CPC since Adsense will show the highest CPC ads. However, you gotta consider the CTR as well Just try on it and find the best result
You can add ad units depending on content length, i use the following structure: 300 word content on the page then i add only 1 ad unit 500+ word content on the page then i add 2 ad units 700+ word content on the page then i add 3 ad units Link units i add depending on the template, if the template can accommodate 2 or 3 link units depending on its style and usefulness to the visitor, i do so. Yes, the top ad unit above the fold gives maximum CPC due to the fact that many advertisers select that option when they display ads with adwords.
the maximum number of ad unit is 3 i think. in the default ads setting there is no format carrying more than 3 ads .
It's not that they put the highest CPC ads up, they put up the ads their algorithim says have the highest chance of making the most money from your site. Meaning, if the algorithim tells them that the highest CPC ads don't get clicked on on your page, they stop showing them on your site. They would rather show middle (or even low) CPC ads if the likely CTR results in higher net revenue. At least, that's what our rep tells us.
