Drop in Traffic - Why?

Hi Everyone,

I use to receive 200+ visitors everyday from organic search, however all of a sudden I'm receiving less than 20 visitors for past 3 days.

Any Idea why this might have happen?

Two changes I made 3 days ago were, remove the feedjit widget and wibiya toolbar.

Because this is December so website traffic is so less to other months, because in December month every USA sites is very less traffic.

It can be attributed to the changes you made and because of the season so do not fret. Just continue link building and doing promotional activities to your site.

 

you need to creat quality backlinks.

 

I think it is christmas time as well as may be you have dropped your ranking for your prime keywords. I think you should wait for january or you can start to generate quality back links with your dropped keywords. You can do Forum Posting and Blog commenting for getting ranking for your dropped keywords.

 

Check first if you are still at the ranking. If not maybe it was affected of the changes you've made. Try to put it back and if its still the same, maybe it was then due to Christmas season.

 

Check the keywords you get the traffic. Are they on their same position?

Check the ranking for your main keywords. If you dropped as little two positions 8not necessarily your fault, somebody might have overtaken you), that is very likely to be the cause.

 

According to me try to get more quality backlinks.Check your competitor sites and then check your keyword position.

I don't know what could be reason of this drop but something you need to work on regular basis on your site to retain or increase the traffic
