Hi, Is there a tool out there that would let me monitor all traffic in and out from my server? I got a CentoOS and Plesk 9 box running.
Hi, Since you have plesk you can navigate to this window. Plesk > Home > Logs & Statistics > summary report > view traffic history Hope this solves your problem Have a good day
If you're looking to monitor your server's connections in real-time (as opposed to viewing traffic statistics), iptraf is a simple free tool that you can install with yum.
Yep, MRTG or Cacti at the the network port is the only accurate way to do this. It just isn't possible - or accurate - parsing web site logs. Your hosting company should be doing this already. Why not ask them to set-up an account for you so that you can access this info. We do that for all our dedicated server customers if they ask.
