No! Never! Facebook is updating all the time, so it will never become old. However, there are other social networks which probably become stronger and stronger - e.g. Google+)

ibibo has much more facilities than facebook.
It is getting bigger day by day. But I hope ibibo can't beat facebook so easily. It will take some years of time.
    But there is a possibility.

Definitely, Google is become old. After a certain time may be people don't use facebook because a new site that is attractive will come to our door.

I have to agree with many of the above comments. Like all things on the internet, it will fade eventually to be taken over by something else. However, I don't think it will be soon if Facebook continues to make changes and provide interaction that people enjoy. Also, with many new apps that are being created, I think it will keep some of its "freshness" for some time. As far as marketing, I think it is definitely a must for backlinks and "social proof". Also, the ads provide a great venue for very targeted campaigns.

Facebook is plateauing at the moment, because at the beginning people were looking to be part of the social network movement. Facebook as itself now has no more room to grow, it has to provide more functions or abilities or will start to decline like MySpace.

Anything will get older. The age. But with the popularity, well, let's just see.

Facebook probably will get old, but businesses are still trying to figure out how to have a successful Facebook page, and it is so easy for young people to be a part of it. With the other mentioned companies like MySpace and Beebo, brick and mortar businesses didn't pay attention to them for the most part. I think that this is helping Facebook's continued growth.

It already has become "old" in many countries. The number of people using Facebook in many Western countries is actually decreasing. In emerging countries like India, the number of people using Facebook is increasing, but that is not a lot help for marketing because most people in these countries don't have much buying power.
I stopped using Facebook months ago. It had great novelty value, but once you've got over that it's actually quite pointless.

old a long time ago. can't stand it. I'm a private SEO and i tell my clients i will not bother with facebook :D

who's going to go on facebook, let alone someone's facebook business page to make a purchase from your actual website? not me, and probably not lot's of other people.

it might do your website some good to post links to it on there just to get it spidered/crawled, but i see nothing else useful out of it

facebook is stupid and has become cluttered with absolute garbage - just look at any one persons "wall" LOL - can you even make half of the crap out any more!? ;)

Facebook is more about generating brand recognition than it is at direct sales. It's fairly important, and until another network really takes over, is a good place to focus efforts.
