According to me, Rajiv Gandhi was the best politician and I still believe he is the most non corrupt and idealistic politician India ever had after the first batch of leaders i.e. Nehru, Gandhi, Sardar and Shastri. He came with modern vision, brought right men in right places and today we are reaping benefits of his vision....too bad he was not allowed to rule longer due to bomb attack but todate if India had one Charismatic, popular, smart, sympathetic and at the same time with vision for the future...the vote goes to Rajiv Gandhi...hands down. Currently, the best politician is obviously Manmohan Singh with exception of few things but he is doing a good job of delicately maintaining his position between Sonia Gandhi and leftist and at the same time continue with progress. I personally believe that there should be focus on total removal of root level corruption and also focus on bringing equality of wealth. The wealthy "generally" create jobs for the middle classes. Those jobs help re-distribute the wealth a bit.

The enemy of this type of thing is corruption, of course. The more corrupt the wealthier are, the less money gets turned into productive assets. You're right, of course, about the huge "black market" economy. The more money in the black market, the worse for the regular people. Imagine just how much money in the world isn't really accounted for anywhere?

I really wish that India and Pakistan were same country. Its not possible now at all " too much tensions " I have been to both countries and almost 90% of the culture is same its like you are in Pakistan. Bangladesh seems little different probably language is different but India and Pakistan is same thing to me
