I'm not embarrassed to say that this conversion rate is already BETTER than the regular conversion rate on my other site (subliminalmp3s.com) so with more albums to come in the future when we really will have something for everyone we know this will get even better. This is without mentioning coupon codes and discounts - so far NO discounts have been given out, so this conversion rate is solid at 3%+ on FULL PRICES - in the future with discounts a regular part of the site (and during unique one off sales - see below) the conversion rate will increase even further.

Interest in this niche is huge: The keyword searches for terms such as "hypnosis downloads", "weight loss hypnosis", "stop smoking hypnosis" are huge. To give some perspective, without getting into too much depth - the search numbers for "subliminal cds" are 6,600 per month. One question though: What is the difference between hypnosis and subliminal?

 

Can we get demographic data? Makes it a lot easier if we know who our ideal customer is. Particularly if we use PPC to test conversion prior to committing to site/SEO/Web 2.0 etc.

 

Subliminal audio is simply positive affirmations, but either masked behind music, or moved to a sound frequency where you can't quite hear them consciously
Hypnosis is.. well, an actual audible voice, guiding you into a state of hypnosis - Natural Hypnosis is partnered with a very well respected hypnotist and really is offering top quality hypnosis recordings.

Demographics are tough to pin down.. we don't just sell to one person - we have a stop smoking album, and a weight loss album... which appeal to completely different demographics... not to mention the other 40+ albums we have - confidence, motivation, memory, concentration and so on..

One thing all of our buyers have in common is that they have an area of themselves they are not happy with and want to change. They are commonly interested in self help, personal development, "success mindset", and the law of attraction, and reprogramming the mind, but pinning down exact gender, age, income etc is near on impossible due to the variety of different areas we cover... we have something for everyone.

Edit - oh, and for ppc, checkout our affiliate area, we have some good advice on buyer keywords and how to generate your own keyword lists for niche areas of hypnosis.

 

Yesterday was Day 1 (out of 3) of our Mini Independence Day Sale.

It went waaaay beyond our expectations.

Firstly the sale announcement to our own internal list on Natural Hypnosis (which is only small) converted at 12.96%!!!



Secondly, we sent our standard recommendation to try the 3 free hypnosis albums from our other list - on SubliminalMP3s.com. This email:

It got an above average open rate, and an unheard of 60% click through rate on those opens - i.e. 60% of the people who opened the email then clicked through to the offer. This, for us is unheard of at least, for us normal is a 20-30% click rate on opens and "good" is above 40%, but 60% is crazy.... I put this down to having a focused list around self help so it is something they are interested in, but also a simple title of "{Name}, Your 3 FREE Hypnosis MP3s", and then a simple email with a link right near the top - this email :

Then things got even better, the opt-in rate was 60% - again, this is pretty unheard of. Arguably 30% opt-in is average, 40-50% being good.. again, this is in my experience at least, so we were very very pleased that we received around 60% signups from clicks.

Along with this great interest level, and great opt-in rate this sale looks set to really convert now over these last 2 days when there is real urgency over it ending.

Today we are going to send out a VERY SHORT, simple email reminding people that the sale is ending in less than 48 hours, and this is what will really drive conversions (based on my experience of doing this sale formula several times before on various sites).

Overall, this sale was more of a test, as we will be doing this event again starting on the 8th August, with more affiliates involved, and cash prizes for the most sales:

Over these last 3 days we have had the Independence Day Sale, and it was our best converting event ever.

It wasn't as "big" as some of the previous launches we've done as this is a new site and doesn't have a lot of affiliates yet, but this was a test sale... in preparation for the BIG SALE on the 8th of August, and we are confident this is going to be huge, and by far our biggest event ever.

The Conversion Rate Was AMAZING!

I can show the conversion stats in so many different ways - here are some screenshots of the emails we sent out and below it is a key to explain what each of them were.

1. Announcement of the sale we sent to the small existing list on Natural Hypnosis, on Day 1 of the sale. Converted at 10.96%
2. Reminding people that the sale was ending in less than 48 hours, sent out to the email list on subliminalmp3s.com (over 50k people). A very solid 8.77% conversion.
3. Reminding people that the sale was ending in less than 24 hours, sent out to the now growing email list on Natural Hypnosis. An amazing 14.79% conversion.
4. The email subscribers receive straight away on joining our newsletter containing the 1st of their 3 free albums. 2.7% conversion.
5. The email they receive the next day in our autoresponder - not an offer, just more info on the background and experience of our hypnotist. Converting at 5.81%

Here is probably a more realistic view of conversion rates. Here is regular Google traffic conversion rates for the last 2 months, you can see it does vary, arguably is on the increase since we put in the ability to purchase physical CDs, but averages out at a very respectable 3.87%



Here is the Google conversion in just the 3 days of the sale.

It is 3.88% on day 1, 3.95% on day 2, and a MASSIVE 8.33% on day 3. These are people who are just doing keyword searches, landing on our site for the first time, seeing there is a sale on, and buying - they're not subscribers, they're not getting emails from us pushing them to buy, they are brand new first time visitors, and they are converting VERY WELL.



Gravity

Our Gravity rose more than we were expecting during this week. A few new affiliates jumped on in day 2 and 3 and really gave our gravity a decent boost - from 0 to 23 within the week, and position on the "top gravity risers" of the day during our "Day 2" on CB-Analytics.com

Your commission seems low especially for the cd's

 

It is, they cost money to produce, and ship (not to mention the high royalties we pay to Brennan - our hypnotist partner..), and we need to make profit on units sold.

We are well aware that our commission, even at 50% for MP3s is MUCH LOWER than the standard 75% commission which has come to be recognised on from Clickbank vendors as the norm. We are not competing with other Clickbank products, we are competing with other hypnosis sites - aiming to make a profitable hypnosis product, at a competitive rate of commission - and it is.

What you lose in commission, we believe you make up in a fantastic conversion rate - who else (on CB or anywhere) has a 3.87% conversion rate on natural google traffic? (seriously, can anyone answer this question? I've been on this forum and never seen it... at least on real traffic and a real screenshot) Or will even show you their conversion rate? But that's not all... the real bonus of getting involved with us is in the LONG TERM benefits:

Scenario 1 - you get involved in promoting the upcoming IM product "super hot mega instant commissions blueprint" - it launches (without proving it's conversion rate to you). It converts at 1%, you send 1000 clicks and make 10 sales for $50 commission a pop - $500 - nice.... then the product dies, the fad is over and people look for the next big thing.. you have to build again.

Less, but similar enough (arguably... gimmie a break ), and then you get paid next month, and the next one, and NEXT year, on the traffic you keep sending... you don't need to close your site down, to re-develop, to push people towards something else, you can keep building, keep growing, and your traffic will keep converting month on month on month.

Also you can see that the conversion has been very consistent and rising steadily for the last month... We think this is a mixture of us now selling CDs, but also adding more and more new albums - giving more variety.

So.. if this was YOU sending this traffic, you would be making 50% commission on the average visitor value which would be 0.58c per visit, or $58 per 100 visits you send. This is without taking into account that during this upcoming sale week our conversion rate will be MUCH FURTHER increased.

Here is an updated screen-shot of the conversion rate - it shows stats two ways:

• The conversion rate of our emails to our Natural Hypnosis subscribers - the "last 48 hours" is the email we sent out earlier today announcing the sale only has 48 hours to go and is so far converting at 12.98%
• The rising conversion rate over the entire week across ALL sources of traffic. You can see the conversion rate is less that 1% on Day 1 - this is because there are 10s of 1000s of new visitors to the website... but days 3 and 4 this mass inlfux of traffic has died down a lot and the people returning are those receiving emails from us either in our autoresponder series, and the emails we are sending out this week especially for the sale. In a nutshell; conversion has risen from less than 1% to over 4% across all traffic sources.

Now is the right time to send traffic - the conversion rate is at its highest point now, and will stay high or even rise a little more over the next 36 hours.

Just a quick update, our sale is officially over (yet the discount is still active for an extra day to minimize upset of people arriving late).

This has been our biggest ever event, and our most profitable event ever, with our top 20 affiliates making between $1000 to $5000 each.

These are the emails we sent to the Natural Hypnosis newsletter over the week - thus pushing for the sales for all affiliates who simply recommended our 3 free albums.

The "Last24" email was the email on the last day to remind people there are less than 24 hours left to buy, it converted at 19.47% - our highest ever email conversion rate.

This is a screenshot of total traffic over the entire week, you can see, that as predicted it rose steadily over the week and peaked in the last 2 days where the urgency of the sale ending was at it's highest - peaking at a MASSIVE 6.19%. In these last 2 days most affiliates doubled up on their sales made during the entire earlier part of the week, or made even more if they did manage to send on of the 48 or 24 hour reminder emails out.

Popularity

Our Clickbank Gravity has also dramatically risen, from approximately 20 to 101 now (click to see it live on CB-Analytics.com):



This has been our biggest ever event. I didn't check on the busiest day, but this alexa graph suggests we were approximately the 5,500th most popular (busiest) website in the world on the day of our launch, and overall over the last 7 days we have been the 9,048th busiest website in the world - i.e. our "Alexa Rank" over the last 7 days is 9,048, and our overall traffic rank is now 62,465 - well within that elusive mark of the top 100k most popular websites in the world.



* Alexa isn't entirely accurate, and it isn't everything - just a measure of popularity, but compared to our main competitors our average 62,465 traffic rank overall now is comparable to theirs... but they have been in business for 5-10+ years, and we have been going for 6 months...

It's been a while since I updated this thread, but we have been growing, and growing steadily since.

Last week we actually moved OFF Clickbank - you can read exactly why in this thread, but essentially it was to increase our average order value, get more control over our checkout and increase EPCs for affiliates.

Anyway, I'm making this post because similarly to the Sale which has been outlined above, we are doing this again. In-fact we are LIVE NOW for our:

We are now 3 days into our Thanksgiving Sale and conversion stats are looking impressive!

Here is a screenshot of our email conversion so far:



1. The first stat is the conversion rate on the announcement we sent out to our newsletter. This is converting at 8.33% for $1.68 per click. This email is available here for you to swipe and send out.

2. The second stat is from an email announcing the launch of our new Think and Grow Rich Hypnosis album. This is a money consciousness album based off principles from the best selling self improvement classic book of the same name by Napoleon Hill. We knew this would be a good seller, and so far the email announcing it is converting at 13.64% for a massive $1.91 per click. Some affiliates have already sent this offer and are seeing fantastic EPCs of between 0.80 and $2.00 per click too! The email announcing the launch of this album is here for you to swipe.

With solid stats like these already we know that the next few days are going to be big. Traditionally it is the end of our sale periods when the sales really come in and conversions rise - this is because of the urgency of the sale ending and because people can see the live countdown down to hours and minutes.
