I won't lie I have downloaded a lot of music without paying... Do you download it free or pay? If free what do you use? I use frostwire/groovshredder/youtube downloader.
I usually just buy CDs, or listen to music for free on YouTube. Even if I could download it for free, I prefer to pay for it. My mum raised me well lol
Cute, downloading without paying for it is stealing, isn't it? Its rare for artists to make their work available for free. All those struggling indy artists deserve to benefit from their talent.
Em...you should know that you never need to pay for the music and movie, because download is legal in China... That's me!
I never download music because I do not like music. But I like to download a free application games or features that are provided free of charge by the android market. I can download from my phone, or it could be through my laptop. In my opinion, one is free to download anything from sites like youtube. I think they provide free downloads to the public, aren't? Unless there is a request from the owner to the user to pay.
Playing would be fine because the royalty charges are the responsibility of the site that serves the music, I'd guess. Apart from listening to the radio online (overseas stations like London's Jazz FM which I miss) do people really listen online?
I have downloaded some music . But i prefer to go listen them on youtube and if i really like them i buy. By buying your music you support the company and the artist.
I download alot of music via torrents, but usually if I liked some artist or album alot I will by their cd/dvd
Yes, sometime like when you are searching for a song to download. If I am not sure, I will play and check it then download it.
I don't pay for it but I don't steal, I copy. Copying is not theft, repeat after me
I think that if you talk to the creative people behind the music that you'll find that their opinion is slightly different.
They might be wrong since I'm right Copying is not stealing. End of story, after people can argue with that as long as they want, they'll still be wrong until they agree with that statement. Now if you tell me copying infrige copyright laws, ok, certainly.. But the law is clear, you don't get sued for theft when you're caught copying something. If people tell me I'm playing with words, no they are. Because they want to associate copying with theft in the mind of everybody, sorry won't work on me. In the ten commandments there is "Thou shalt not steal." but not "Thou shalt not copy."
Here in Asia, when you download music or movies that don't ask you to pay for anything, like most torrent sites do, steal does not apply. You're stealing only when something is not made available for free and you took it. I freely download all my favorite music and movies, because there's no clear rule enforced over the net that prevents me from doing so, or justifies why I should not be doing it. Having a conscience is not enough. You need to know there are rules that exist for this particular act that applies not just to the US but to all internet users of the world, and you need to know these rules or laws are really working for you to be convinced. Otherwise, you are "technically" justified and freed of guilt. I applaud you for that, kid. But it's also because you are raised in the US, where almost everything has its legal implications. Give your mom a hug.
