I used to earn about 15 - 20$ a day from about 5000 - 6000 hits, but from the past week, my earning has dipped down to around 5 - 6$ with the same traffic and same clicks Today was the worst day !! First 2 clicks - 0.40 $ 3rd click - 0.5$ 4th click - 0.1$ WTF ?? Did you see the same ?
i ve seen a drop to from 12 usd a click to around 1.50 to 17c, i don't find the ad filter is that good, due to google controlling yours ads to a point anyway.
I made $0.94 on 12 clicks last week. Something has definitely happened over at Google over the past couple of weeks, I'm beginning to see more and more of these posts.
same here in the first 2 days of the month, CPC was 5, 6 cents, now its 2.6 - 3 cents ... at the morning, I have 100 clicks, which may worth 5 dollars. in the end of day, I have 500 clicks, but it worth 10 dollars . high payers are poor this month ...
for this problem,i have solution by using adsblacklist, you can see this toturial: http://bloggingsecret.blogspot.com/2006/11/my-black-list.html Its work on me,f course, you too.
well the next issue then becomes market saturation... If a most of you would quit publishing and go find real work... I could see my CPC rise to normal levels again Googles over saturated with publishers and their Smart?? Pricing hurts each and everyone of us...
When I filtered out low paying advertisers, my income CPC dropped immediately. I turned off the filter 3 weeks later and it went back up. Just my view on it -- some people found the opposite to be true, guess it's related to your niche.
Yes that is a good point as well ...the filtering needs to be done based on your category....you may want to filter out direct competitors or you may not want to ...if they are paying good coin to advertise you can make some nice money off the clicks... Try to look at the ads you are displaying and see if the ad looks professional or if a kid wrote it....the more professional the better likelihood they are paying good money...... ads that look like a 10 year old wrote.. then the advertiser is probably paying very low and therefore your earnings from a click on the ad is likely to ber low as well. Also look at the advertiser themselves....for example I do lead generation for Direct TV and I know crutchfield electronics was bidding at 9.99 per click while other competitors were paying on .50 per click... If I had a TV site I would filter out the small players and try to have crutchfield ads displayed as much as possible.. As with everything test test test!!!!
How about someone ad targeting in your web, does it take effects? or I can get good pay? Someone targetting ads in my web and I just filter it because the ads showing like in dp (one instead 4).
