http://www.datapickup.com/supportus.asp http://www.datapickup.com/howthisworks.asp So, rumer has it that AdSense is watching this board. Let's see how long it takes for them to terminate these guys!!!
I love the wording on there: " All you have to do is click ads on this site, think of it as a way of saying thank you to us. As long as you guys support us we'll continue to offer these services and more to come for absolutely FREE." Sure, right! Come on, saying "thank you to us?" The ads are not mean to support them, they are to support advertisers. Encouraging clicking on links, as per the TOS, I assumed was forbidden.
More like, think of it as stealing from a business. It's like saying "Walk into any store and steal their stuff and give it to me... don't think of it as stealing... think of it as charity"
Nintendo - is that just a random site you found..? or is it related to the forum somehow..? Just wondering if 'friendly' comment might save him a bunch of hassle. What about putting "Related Links" or "Be sure to check out these related links" or something like that over ads...is that viewed as acceptable because I've seen that before. (I'm brand new to AdSense so I'm trying to soak up all the tid-bits I can)
Actually words similar to that are common, I have noticed them especially on a lot of Forums, we haven't been looking for them but they are there. Charity sites do it also, click on the ads and the proceeds will go to such and such charity.....yeah right.
No, you can't do that. You can only put "Sponsored links" and "Advertisements" above the ads. Some premium adsense publishers get to put other things... but you and I are stuck with those two.
Yeah, I love how people do that. As an adwords user I don't think my advertising dollars should be used for any charity unless it's my choice.
He/she deleted that web page. * I have a question guys... If i know a cheater, should i report it to Google? I know he's a cheater cuz he sent me and everyone else the email that says the same thing "Click to support us" with Screen Shot of his report on Google Adsense. It's really hard to believe that his site only has 1000 page impression per day, with 272 clicks (average/day) For everytime I go online on my Y!M, he was like: "How much money you make today? I've made 30 ....blah blah" It's really annoying that I have to block him on my list. So, do you think should I report or not!
I'm an Australian and we don't believe in reporting anybody , I would just block him and forget about it, karma will prevail.
I'd report him. Only after I gave him a fair warning via email though. Especially if you are an Adwords publisher, he/she is potentially loosing you money Josh
You do realise you don't work for google adsense right.... It's like being back in 3rd grade and there's always the kid who told the teacher who cheated on their homework. IMHO - quit focusing on tattling on others and focus on making your own sites better, adsense can do their job themselves.
No, it's more like seeing someone at a store, stuffing merchandise in their pants. At least in 3rd grade, when you cheated on a test, it didn't cost businesses any money.
I agree, I mean lets say I ran a webhosting company, and was paying like $10/click, and there was one site that was giving me a high number of clicks (lets say 25 a day) and no leads. Would you just stand by, losing $250 dollars each day, or would you report him? Josh
That's different than this. You're taking action against someone thats directly effecting you, not just some random web site. And like i've said before, just b/c you don't get any leads or sales as a result of your adwords DOES NOT MEAN it's fraud, it could mean your web site sucks and nobody likes it IDK , don't mind me i'm cranky today
