    facebook ads(you can get 50$ for like 3$ on ebay if you have a new page), other social networking sites like twitter, and just being really active on facebook with updates and talking to people are the best ways i can think of. It's something i've been working on doing too

    One excellent way is to "Like" other fan pages in the similar niche, wait a day or two, and then post a comment on those Fan Page walls telling them about your Fan Page.

    Some cool tips you got. Also you could join your niche related groups & invite members to join in your page but don't do this too much in a day.

    You can join facebook traffic exchange sites, you can purchase fans , or create a site and promote your fanpage
