IE 7 Sucks

Tell me something NEW

 

I really like IE7 and have been using it since it was in RC1

 

I wouldn't say IE7 sucks, I did find a problem in IE7 that I discussed in this thread and demo at http://environmentalchemistry.com/IE7HoverGlitch.html, but overall IE7 is a giant leap forward from IE6. I agree with another comment that the breaking of some backwards compatibility to IE6 in regards to things that IE6 got wrong in regards to W3C HTML & CSS specifications was a very bold step. Really the only way IE could move forward and become more compatible with W3C specifications was to break some backwards compatibility.

I'm not going to use IE7 except for testing my own sites, but I welcome it as a very good move on Microsoft's part and I appreciate how much it has progressed from the state of things with IE6.

 

A lot of things fixed for IE7 was directly from feedback and customer request and I am happy Microsoft has listened to our complaints/request. I've been noticing since last year Microsoft is now really taking our feedback seriously and continues to improve majorly each and every year.

 

I love ie7 and firefox 2 both are greay if you hate ie you just microsoft haters and dont you guys blash ie.

 

On my IE7 toolbar, I have a yellow star. Click on it. That is where your favorites should be.

 

thanks I found it today only not the star, but found how to activate the toolbar (File, Edit, etc)

But I have not yet found how to activate the bttons like ICQ, etc even being a webmaster doesn't mean its easy

It has become a fashion to criticise MS. Some people think they are geeks if they criticise MS worst they write those articles using MSWord on MS windows

That's exactly it. FF does/has crashed on me and it's much much slower. That's just the honest truth. IE6 and IE7 have also both crashed on me, but not nearly as much as FF.

To be really honest, Opera has NEVER crashed on me and seems to be the most stable browser out of the three. but I still use IE7. The only time I switch up to Opera is when I have to have a ton of tabs open or when I have to visit very graphic heavy websites.

If I used or need the extensions, then maybe FF would be a better bet.
I also think FF and Opera is a better choice for novice computer users as it keeps spyware and adware off the computer. It allows people who don't know what they are doing to pretty safely surf the web. I have Opera installed on my Aunts, Mothers, Bosses, and Fathers computer. It certainly keeps them much safer than IE would. But for me personally, I love IE7.

 

Use the Google toolbar, it has favorites that are stored to your Google account. That way you never lose them.

 

I'm a firefox user too and I like the new 2.0 stuff, like the restore session option and undoing closed tabs (a life saver when your trigger happy) and I've had a brief play with IE7 too and I have to say I like it.

The interface takes some getting used to but I say well done Microsoft, a big step in the right direction IMO, not enough to make me a IE user again, but good

 

I loaded IE7 on two different computers and all it does is freeze my system and make loading times insane. Huge delays between loading tabs, etc. I shoulda just downloaded firefox.

 

I agree that IE7 is way better. It loads faster and I really like that tab browsing feature.

 

Perhaps your PIII and 256MB PC133 isn't cutting it anymore. Maybe time for an upgrade, eh?

 

Well FF still has some bugs, especially memory leaks which slows up your PC. Not to say about IE7...its like hell.

I never use Internet explorer in six months ago.
Love Firfox so much because Firefox have useful extension for make easily job and save my time.
