It really depends on the type of content of your site.

One suggestion to help you determine a better domain name is to think of the content first. Which words will appear most inside your site? 'hookups', 'updates' or 'bulletin'?

With keywords appearing both in the site and domain name, you will have a better SERP.

number 3 and 4 are good. With minimal seo you will rank first for those keywords together. But not many people will be searching those words together.

    freelanceprojectupdates.com

probably this might be just better as there is some the words freelance and projects are semanticaly related and u might have some sore of search volume also for thse terms.....the other domain it might be easy to rank for the domain keywords, but search voulme might be less.....

Do your research on www.google.com/trends to see what people search for. Also, seperate words with a "-" character, e.g. freelance-project-updates.com.

How about looking for an older domain that already has aged linkage to it that someone may not be working anymore?

I agree 3 and 4 have common keywords.

People search Bulletins and Updates. Thats a main thing, people wouldnt pick Hookups on google as much as 3 and 4. 1 is good too but its a tad long.
