Need some help chosing an advertising partner

We're launching a new ecommerce website shortly in a niche market and the scope for growth is very large. We're looking for a service which will help us administer the adverts on our site, but there are specific ways that they have to show and we need someone who can do this.None of the advertising is through banners. An example of what we're doing is where an advertiser can sponsor a 'Featured product' on part of the website. We want to be able to insert a small code in this spot which can be used for them to log-in to a website and view what visits they are getting. When the pre-agreed visit levels are reached then we are notified. We would charge them a £/$ cpm. They may have a few different spots and need to see them all. Other people will be able to advertise in highly customisable areas (like for example their product may run across the logo at the top of the page - we can make this happen visually, but we need something to track visits which can be shared with the client. Therefore general traffic stat packages may not work unless we can allow them to see only select information.Does anyone know what the best solution to this problem may be. OpenX have said that they can do it but seem very expensive.Advice woould be great! Thanks

 

I would try Google Analytics its great at monitoring site activity.

Thanks everyone.Bruce, I'll send you an email as I was never offered a free service for what I need - maybe it's not possible?Does anyone know if google analytics can be used successfully to show advertisers traffic stats whilst not allowing them access to the detailed information? Ideally they could log in to see just the basic visitor numbers for the pages I allocate them

 

Analytics will give you the data you need and then you pass it along to your advertisers. Most advertisers will have a way of monitoring their own traffic that is connected with your site.
