The "f**k off" reply reminds me of an idiot who once submitted to my directory without paying for the review fee (I wouldn't have approved his site anyway even if he had paid, as it was clearly an affiliate site). However, after I explained that the directory is a paid review directory he started complaining about how other "free" directories are way better than my "paid" one. So I told him off by saying that even if he had offered 1 million dollars for inclusion, I would never have approved his site regardless.
Ahh, another benefit of running free directories. Bad submissions just get deleted from the queue without any further communication.
All four were free ones. I have rejected paid ones earlier - Surprisingly they don't even reply to ask why it was rejected. They probably know the reason and move on. It's the free one's cry, insult and keep whining.
same here.. few days ago receive email from submiter to... but when i ask to send back they link.. they will not do that...
Some classified directory do this. Because they want a unique link. Sometimes some directory also reject free websites. That is problem. Some of the directory don't allow any other page url like w.homepage/others. They only accept the home page url. So we must need its rules and terms. But when you pay something for submission then they accept all kinds of links.
Just the other day, i submited one of my websites to a free directory and got a rejection notice. I emailed the owner and said, why was i rejected? He said, you didn't follow my submission rules. I spent 20 minutes trying to find the submission guidelines and turns out there was none. Then i sent a nasty email back to him about his dropped domain he was using for his directory and a few links to some keyword stuffed titles. lol
Well snakeair, the directory owner was right to reject if you didn't follow his submission guidelines. Just because he expects everyone to guess what they are is no reason to get nasty and tell him why his directory stinks. After all, if it stinks so bad why do you want a listing in it anyway? lol sorry, couldn't resist. I've gotten to the point if I am expected to mark a check box saying I agree to a non-existent policy statement, I don't submit. Sure, I don't get a link that way but I'm also not supporting an idiot by helping to fill their directory.
Then why did you submit in the first place? These kind of research should be done before submitting to a directory and not after getting rejected. And there is no point in blasting a kid who doesn't know how to create a good directory. You just wasted your 20 mins. lol !
Some reasons of Rejection of Submission is- 1. Content used for Description is not Duplicated. 2. Title is no more than maximum 4-5 words. 3. The google and sites owner says the maximum limit of description is 250 Characters.
